What triggers cystitis?

Urinary Tract Infrection’s (UTI’s) typically occur when bacteria outside the body enter the urinary tract through the urethra and begin to multiply. Most cases of cystitis are caused by a type of Escherichia coli (E. coli) bacteria. Bacterial bladder infections may occur in women as a result of sexual intercourse. What is the difference between cystitis and a Urinary Tract Infections?

Cystitis is inflammation of the bladder, usually caused by a bladder infection. It’s a common type of urinary tract infection (عدوى المسالك البولية), particularly in women, and is usually more of a nuisance than a cause for serious concern.

How can someone differentiate from cystitis and a UTI?

Cystitis is usually more of an irritation and a frequency of urination which is oftentimes self-limiting. On the other-hand a Bacterial UTI can move up the urethra into the kidneys causing back pain, delirium and nausea amongst other things.
